1. What is the benefit to me as a business owner?

2. Do I need to sign any contracts to join Smedule?

No, no contracts. Nada.

3. So, what if I decide that I don't want to use Smedule anymore?

You can cancel at anytime.

4. What if I cancel and have outstanding appointments that have been booked through Smedule.com or the Smodule?

You can either honor the existing appointments in which case you will still need to pay the commission for the appointment. Or you can cancel those appointments sending a notification to the users. We suggest that you view outstanding appointments, contact those users before you cancel your account and reschedule separately.

5. How much do the Smedule services cost?

  1. Appointment Scheduling Alone: Smedule's calendar and scheduling tool is free to use. That means you can book as many appointments or manage as many employees' schedules as you'd like completely free of charge.
  2. Through Smedule.com: If, however, you want to "open up" your appointment book so that users can make reservations through Smedule.com, you will be charged 3% of the total fee of each appointment(with a maximum charge of $1.00), only for completed appointments.
  3. Through your own web site or partner sites: Additionally, you can make the smedule scheduling capabilities available to customers on your own web site for just 1% of any fees you charge only for appointments scheduled through your sponsor site(with a maximum charge of $.50). This same feature will work on Craigslist, Facebook, or any compatible web page.

6. Do I have to pay for any appointments I add directly?

No, you will only be charged for appointments that we book through Smedule.com or the Smodule.

7. Do I have to pay a per-employee surcharge?

No, you will only be charged for appointments that we book through Smedule.com or the Smodule.

8. So it's fine that Smedule is in Denver, but when will I be able to use it in my city already?!

We started in Denver as a pilot program and will be introducing Smedule to other regions over time. Any business anywhere can use our scheduling and embed the Smodule on their website and we'll notify you when we're launching our website in your area.

9. What if I need to cancel an appointment?

There is a 24-hour courtesy cancellation policy, so we encourage you to cancel your appointments more than 24 hours in advance.

10. If I sign up for my first three months free - How do I deactivate my service?

No problem. If you choose to deactivate your service entirely, you will be able to save your contact and schedule information to an excel spreadsheet that you can upload or add to another application.

11. Why is there a cap on the amount that you will charge me?

Because we like you. And we think it's only fair.

12. So, say I'm a spa owner and someone books a $200 massage on smedule.com, does that mean I only have to pay $1.00 for the referral fee?

That is exactly what it means.

13. What if someone referred me to Smedule, how do I acknowledge them?

On the business registration page, make sure you include their email address.

14. How does the referral system work?

Anyone who has referred a customer to Smedule will get a one-time $10.00 referral fee. They will not receive the referral until an end user books and completes their first appointment from either Smedule.com or the Smodule.

15. If I'm a registered business, can I get referral fees too?

Of course, you too will receive $10 per referral for as long as the program is in effect.

16. Where do ratings come from?

Our ratings come from a non-biased third party rating system, http://Yelp.com.

17. Why don't you take your own users' review content?

There are two reasons why we don't take our users' content. One, we understand that many of you are currently contributing review content to other sites, so we don't want to create another silo of review content. Secondly, we want to leverage as much existing unbiased review content as we can.

18. What if I don't like my reviews?

You can either protest your review, or encourage other customers to write more and better reviews.

19. Once I sign up for Smedule, how do I get my calendar up and running?

We provide an easy to follow step-by-step registration wizard. If you still have questions, go to the demo [link] section of the web-site where we will provide you with step-by-step instruction on how to get setup.

20. How do I pay for my appointment referrals?

When you register, you will need to provide a credit card to which you will be automatically charged monthly based on your account activity.

21. What if I haven't had to provide my credit card information?

If you have not been asked to provide your credit card information it is because you are currently part of our trial period(or very lucky). You will be asked to provide credit card information at the end of the trial period.

22. What if Smedule.com goes down?

The website may need to be suspended periodically in the middle of the night for occasional maintenance. We will provide you with advanced notice if there is a planned servicing. Contact support@smedule.com if you have any concerns or questions about the quality of service you are receiving.

23. How do I get access to all of my new customers that scheduled appointments through Smedule.com and the Smodule?

Once you have registered your business, you will be able to access administrative privileges by selecting "My Smedule". You can then click on, "Confirm appointments" and all upcoming appointments that were scheduled either through Smedule.com or the Smodule will appear. These appointments are considered confirmed, but you are welcome to contact the customers directly and reconfirm for added assurance.

24. Do I have to discount my services when I register for Smedule.com?

You are not required to discount your services at any time. If, however, you feel that discounting will provide a good incentive for new customers to try your services, then it is an option we wanted make available to you.

25. How will you use my business data?

28. Do end users need to pay to make an appointment?

No, end users pay nothing to use Smedule's services.

29. What if I want users to leave a credit card number to secure a reservation?

After surveying end users, they made it clear that they would be much less likely to use this type of service if we required them to leave a credit card to secure a reservation. Our objective is to make it as easy as possible for people to register for and use Smedule, therefore have made a decision not to require credit cards be left to secure appointments. 30. If end users don't have to leave credit card numbers to ensure that they show up, how do I know that they will honor appointments with my business?

Smedule monitors when users do not show up for their appointment and if they "no-show" more than three times over a year, we lock them out of the system. We suggest that you call and re-confirm any appointments made through Smedule if this is a big concern for you.

31. What is the end-user cancellation policy?

There is a 24-hour courtesy cancellation policy, and we encourage users to cancel appointments more than 24 hours in advance. If users wish to cancel an appointment within that 24 hour window, we will not allow them to do so from within the application, rather they need to call you directly.

32. What if I am not able to honor an appointment that a Smedule user has made?

There will be times when you have to cancel an appointment that was made through Smedule. We suggest that you contact the user immediately and try and reschedule. If you do not honor three or more appointments we may have to suspend your account to protect our users.
